President

David Waitz is the President of the company and a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with over 37 years of experience in civil engineering and land surveying. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL) in 1986 and has been a trusted professional in the industry for decades.
David obtained his Professional Engineer license in 1992 and his Professional Land Surveyor license in 1995, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a comprehensive understanding of both engineering and surveying disciplines. In January 1999, he acquired the company, laying the foundation for its continued growth, reputation, and long-standing client relationships.
Throughout his career, David has built a reputation for integrity, technical expertise, and leadership. His extensive experience and hands-on approach have guided the company’s success and ensured consistent, high-quality service for clients across a wide range of projects.
Outside of work, David enjoys playing cards with friends, hunting with his sons, and spending time with his grandsons. Family, tradition, and community are central to his life, and these values strongly influence the way he leads the company and builds lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.

Vice President

Jacob Waitz is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Surveying Intern (LSI) with over 10 years of hands-on experience in civil engineering and surveying. His career in the industry began at just 16 years old, when he started working summers and school breaks in the field, gaining practical, real-world experience from the ground up.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU), Jacob continued to build on that early foundation, working his way up through the profession and developing a deep understanding of both field operations and engineering design. This progression has given him a well-rounded perspective and a strong appreciation for accuracy, efficiency, and constructible solutions.
Jacob’s background, technical expertise, and commitment to quality play a critical role in the company’s success and its ability to deliver reliable, client-focused services. His experience in the field allows him to approach each project with practicality and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys hunting and fishing and values time spent with his family. He is a proud husband and father to two young boys, and he places a strong emphasis on family, integrity, and balance—values that carry over into his professional relationships and leadership.
